This gym will give your parakeets exercise and fun time outside of the cage. It gives your bird more freedom to move about and helps prevent the boredom that can result from a sedentary life in a cage.
Can be used in 3 different ways: attached to the side of the cage, attached to the top of a flat-topped cage or free standing on a safe, flat surface.
Parakeets often approach new objects with great caution and it may take some time before your bird actually enjoys the new gym. Your bird's natural curiosity will soon overcome its initial fear.
Instructions: Push all the parts together gently but firmly.
To attach to the side of the cage: Wedge the curved edge of the Stabilizers under the rim of the Base. Make sure the holes in the Base and the Stabilizers are lined up. Push each Short Bolt through the holes of the Base and Stabilizers. Note the flat side of the shank of the Bolt. When seated correctly, it will prevent the Bolt from rotating while applying the Nut. Place the gym on the side of the cage at the desired height and apply the Nuts from inside the cage. If you have a small cage that might become unstable when the gym is attached to the side of the cage, place the Support Column into the round socket on the underside of the Base and position the gym at the corresponding height.
To mount on the top of a flat-topped cage: place the gym on top of the cage. Push the Long Bolt down through the center hole in the Base. Apply a Nut from the inside of the cage and tighten.
Placing the gyn on any safe, flat surface, you will not need any bolts, nuts or stabilizers are needed. |
