The Flour moth trap attracts and captures adult flour moths (Indian meal moth, Mediterranean flour moth, almond moth and raisin moth). These insects occur almost everywhere, and are attracted by food. The moths lay eggs on or near the food, such as in shelving and cupboards, hidden in cracks and crevasses. Adult moths emerge and fly about seeking mates. The SpringStar Flour Moth Trap uses the same biochemical (pheromone) that female moths use to attract male moths for mating. Male moths are drawn by the scent and caught on the capture pad. Removing male moths prevents mating and egg laying.
Instructions:
Carefully open top and remove contents. Cut package in half and along the bottom. Peel release paper and open the lure pouch. Next place the lure in the center of the pad. Fold the package to form a box and slide pad into box. Place traps near where moths have been seen. Replace every 3 months or sooner, if full of insects. Use at least 2 traps all year round.
