This size fits most Moluccan, Citron, Greater Sulpher Crested Cockatoos and similar sized birds.
For maximum safety and comfort, it is essential that the suit fits correctly. Check for key indicators: poop pouch should be positioned directly under vent with no major gaps between tail and pouch, it should be snug but not tight--pinky finger should fit easily between bird and edges of material. If sagging around the legs the suit is too large. Elastic straps should fit comfortably over wings or scapular area with no wrinkling--pinky finger should fit easily under straps.
Instructions:
Birds may nibble on elastic until accustomed to suit, this should diminish over time. To minimize, spray with Better Bitters.
Washing instructions (if you don't use the liners): Turn soiled suit inside out and match up the velcro fastner. Allow suit to soak in Woolite water mixture for 30-45 minutes. Rinse throughly in cold water and hang to dry. |
