Even though the lorikeet belongs to the parrot family, the regular parrot blends are not appropriate for daily feeding - lorikeet food must supply the fruit nectar they subsist on in the wild. We carry liquid nectar mixes just for your lorikeet, but treat him to the occasional millet spray, fresh fruits, vegetables, greens, or cooked egg. Lorikeet food should also be supplemented if necessary with important
minerals and
vitamins. (With a liquid diet, an
absorbent cage liner is a must!)
